In a move to celebrate Van Mahotsav week, senior vice-president of the Municipal Council, S.A.S. Nagar, Harmanpreet Singh Prince, started a tree plantation drive that aimed at planting 20,000 saplings in the township.

For the corporate social responsibility HDFC Bank, Phase VII, on Monday planted 1,000 saplings in the area.

Branch Manager of the bank Bharti Soni thanked Harmanpreet for giving this opportunity to the bank.

Prince said, as a part of Van Mahaotsav celebrations, afforestation drive was also launched.
