5 panels to conserve biological resources

 

The Punjab government on Wednesday constituted five committees to promote conservation and sustainable use of biological resources in the state. The five committees decided on by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal during a meeting of Punjab Biodiversity Board are on heritage site, agro-biodiversity, livelihood activities based on biodiversity, biodiversity registration and intellectual property rights issues.

Badal asked the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology to launch a campaign to make people aware about the importance of biodiversity.
