SEMINAR ON GLOBAL WARMING

 

Global warming is man-made and it needs to be tackled with stringent steps and everyone's contribution.

This was the conclusion of speakers at a seminar on global warming which the Progressive Foundation of Human Rights from Gandhinagar in Gujarat had organised on Wednesday on the Chandigarh campus of the CII.

Punjab Minister of Agriculture Sucha Singh Langah, former member of parliament from Delhi B.L. Sharma Prem, Member of Legislative Assembly from Bholath (Punjab) Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Dr H.N. Sharma, political adviser to many former primer ministers were present.

In Punjab, we have the example of farmers burning paddy and wheat stubble, in spite of being fully aware that it pollutes the environment," said Khaira.
