Environment rally by NSS students

 

The NSS department of Punjabi University, Patiala, in collaboration with the Punjab Eco-Friendly Association (PEFA) took out an environment awareness rally on the university campus here on Tuesday.

As many as 500 teachers and students participated in the rally, which was flagged off by Vice-Chancellor, Dr Jaspal Singh.

He called upon the youth to spread awareness about the damage being caused due to misuse of natural and technological resources.

He also thanked the residents, staff and students of the university in making his mission of making the university polythene and smoke free zone a successful venture.

Environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal urged the students to help him in his campaign of restoring ecological balance and making the environment pollution-free. — TNS
